‘Face/Off’ Remake Could Be On The Way

It is being reported that Paramount Pictures are working on a remake of John Woo’s action classic “Face/Off”. The original starred John Travolta and Nicolas Cage.

The new film will be produced by Neal Moritz (‘The Fast And The Furious’) and written by Oren Uziel (‘Sonic The Hedgehog’). It will be a complete remake with no links to the original.

‘Face/Off’ was the peak of high concept 90s action cinema and John Woo’s best American film. Travolta is an FBI agent and Cage the man who killed his son. The plot revolves around the two leads swapping faces as Travolta goes undercover as Cage, who is in a coma, to stop a bomb plot. When Cage wakes up with the wrong face all hell break loose.

There is no word on how close the plot will stick to the original and no release date is set.
