Top 5 Things That Could Be The Big Star Wars Spoiler In The First Episode Of ‘The Mandalorian’

The first episode of ‘The Mandalorian’ is released on 12th November and the hype is starting to build. This week it has been widely reported that there will be a massive spoiler for the Star Wars universe dropped in the series premier. Something is going to happen that will have a major impact on the future of Star Wars storytelling. These reports have been solidified by the fact that the first episode has not been released early for critics and everyone with access to Disney+ will experience the big story reveal at the same time.

Here are our Top 5 things that could change the future of Star Wars.

5. Palpatine is alive.

We know Palpatine is returning in ‘The Rise Of Skywalker’ in some shape or form but could the how and why be revealed in ‘The Mandalorian’. With Episode IX due to be the second biggest film of the year, setting it up this way would be one way to bring people to Disney+.

The chances of this reveal are a long shot as Lucasfilm most likely want to hold all the Episode IX reveals for the film itself.

4. Answers about Snoke.

One of the biggest questions raised by the Sequel Trilogy is who is Snoke and where did he come from. It is clear in ‘The Force Awakens’ that Snoke is a public figure and people know who he is. He is no secret to our heroes but we know nothing about him. Could Snoke’s rise to power start in ‘The Mandalorian’. This would be a way to tell his backstory without taking up time in Episode IX.

3. What happened to Mandalore.

The planet of Mandalore, presumable the home planet of the Mandalorian, featured heavily in both ‘The Clone Wars’ and ‘Rebels’ which were both set before the Original Trilogy. There has been no mention of the state of planet during and after the fall on the Empire.

There is no way that a show titled ‘The Mandalorian’ is not going to reveal what has been going on with Mandalore but will it be revealed straight away or will we get a gradual drip feed of information throughout the season?.

2. The status of the Jedi after the fall of the Empire.

We see a flashback to Luke’s Jedi temple during ‘The Last Jedi’ but we don’t know how long it took him to set this up or how many students he had. The Emperor had convinced the masses that the Jedi where the bad guys so we don’t know how those outside of the Rebel Alliance viewed them. Could we see how new Jedi were being recruited and find out what the opinions about them were?.

1. A definitive answer about the fate of Boba Fett.

Since the Disney purchase of Star Wars and the launch of new canon it’s been a case of Schrödinger’s Fett. Until Lucasfilm open up the Sarlacc we have no idea about Boba’s fate. His armour may have resurfaced in the ‘Aftermath’ series of books but we don’t know what happened to the clone himself.

It’s no secret that ‘The Mandalorian’ was pitched as Boba Fett series but Lucasfilm were planning on making a film about character so they said he could not be used. Times have changed and the studio are now leaning heavily into TV so will we finally find out the fate of the most famous Mandalorian who isn’t actually a Mandalorian?.
