Top 5 Things We Learnt From ‘The Falcon And Winter Soldier’ Trailer

Marvel Studios have released the first proper look at the upcoming ‘The Falcon And The Winter Soldier’ Disney+ series. The show was planned to be their first live action TV series after taking control of Marvel Television but due to production delays caused by COVID-19 it will now debut in March 2021. Here’s what we got from the trailer.

5. Cap’s shield is in a museum

Even though Steve gave Sam the shield at the end of ‘Avengers: Endgame’ it appears that he is not going to have it at the start of the series. As he was a wanted criminal following ‘Captain America: Civil War’ he was probably seen as unworthy to have it by the government. As to whether Sam proves himself worthy or just takes it, we will have to wait and see.

4. The banter from ‘Civil War’ is here

The chemistry between Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ was one of the highlights of the films. This has clearly carried over into the series as the pair banter their way through the trailer.

3. A government are trying hard to promote the U.S.Agent

The U.S Agent appears in the show (played by Wyatt ‘Son of Kurt’ Russell) and is the government’s choice to carry on the Captain America legacy. We see him being introduced to the public to great fanfare similar to what they were doing with Cap in ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’. The series will be tackling what the legacy means and who has the right to be the new Captain America.

2. Marvel heroes like jumping out of planes

Jumping out of an aircraft while talking to someone is the new superhero landing shot.  Falcon does it here but Loki also does it in the trailer for his show.  It’s in ‘Iron Man 2’, ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, ‘The Incredible Hulk, and from the footage we have seen it is probably in ‘Black Widow’.

1. This looks like a film

We may be going to watch this on the small screen but Marvel aren’t treating this has traditional television. This could easily be called ‘Captain America 4’ and you would accept that this was the next big Marvel blockbuster. The action set pieces look like nothing we have seen made for TV before.
