Top 5 Things We Learnt From The ‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ Trailer

Lucasfilm have released the first proper look at ‘The Bad Batch’, the new Star Wars animated series spinning out of the final season of ‘The Clone Wars’. The series follows an elite squad of clones afters the formation of the Galactic Empire. Here’s what we got from the trailer.

5. The story picks up where ‘The Clone Wars’ finished

‘The Clone Wars’ finished with Order 66 and it looks like ‘The Bad Batch’ will start at the exact same point. We see the Emperor’s speech from the end of ‘Revenge Of The Sith’ being watched by hundreds of clones. Has Order 66 been activated in the Bad Batch?. Are they going to be hunting Jedi at the start of the series?.

4. Is that Bracca?

We see what looks like the planet of Bracca from the ‘Jedi: Fallen Order’ game. It’s the planet where all the ships from the Republic were sent to be scrapped. Could the Bad Batch run into a young jedi Cal Kestis who was hiding out there?.

3. Tarkin plays a role

The Bad Batch appear to be working for Tarkin. I’m guessing that this won’t last long and they will turn against him. Could Tarkin end up being the antagonist of the series?

2. They are going to Kamino

Kamino is going to feature and we see the Bad Batch in the clone training arena. The cloning facility was shut down after the war, are the they there to do that? They could also be there to investigate what caused all the clones to turn.

1. We will be introduced to Fennec Shand

The show needs a female lead and it looks like we could be getting that in the form of Fennec Shand. Shand (played by Ming-Na Wen) was introduced in the first season of ‘The Mandalorian’ and is now working with Boba Fett. This could be her origin and it would be interesting to see her work with other clones.
