Zawe Ashton will face off against Brie Larson in ‘Captain Marvel 2’ after having been cast as the film’s main antagonist.
The follow-up to the 2019 hit will be directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman) and written by Megan McDonnel (WandaVision).
It hasn’t be announced who Ashton will be playing but she joins a cast that includes Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel, from the upcoming Disney+ show, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau from ‘WandaVision’.
‘Captain Marvel 2’, which has yet to start production, is due for release on 11th November 2022.
