Edgar Wright (Baby Driver) will develop and direct a new version of ‘The Running Man’ for Paramount. This won’t be a remake of the Arnold Schwarzenegger film but rather a new adaptation of the Stephen King story which he first originally published under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. Wright will work on the story with Michael Bacall and Bacall will write the script which will be more faithful to the book.
Wright is currently readying his latest film, ‘Last Night In Soho’, for release and is planning a sequel to ‘Baby Driver’. No dates have been set for ‘The Running Man’.
