Emerald Fennell, the Oscar nominated director, producer, and screenwriter of ‘Promising Young Woman’, will be writing ‘Zatanna’ for DC Films.
Zatanna is one of DC Comics top magical characters and has been around since 1964. She is one of the company’s legacy characters being the daughter of Zatara who appeared in the original superhero comic Action Comics #1 in 1938. In recent years the character has been connected to both Batman and John Constantine.
It has not been announced if Fennell is also attached to direct.
